If you are like me and lost the little green sticker with the XP serial on it, and need it to reinstall Windows, you are in luck. The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a free open source app that will retrieve your XP/Vista serial from your registry. Being open source, you are guaranteed there will be no nasty surprises such as a trojan etc.

It is also free. Unlike the many other applications that cost £20 and probably won’t work.

When I ran it, not only did it get my Windows XP serial, it also found the ones for Photoshop and Winamp, but, according to it’s website it can find some others too.

Google has noticed that I havent posted in a while, so I’m now one further down the list ranking me the eighth most important Kalon in the world.

I have been busy coding a new PHP project I started not so long ago - I will post about that some other time.

I‘m going to England for a week or so as of this evening. I plan to take some good photos while I’m there - an opportunity to experiment with the new WordPress 2.5 gallery functions.

A new beginning

Hopefully my blog will look better with more than one post. So, I’d better get the ball rolling.

This isn’t the first time I have started a blog. This time (that would make it the third) I am determined to make it work with the help of what I think is a pretty cool design, typography, and some interesting content along the way.

I cannot say exactly what I will blog about, but I imagine there will be a number of posts about web development (in particular PHP), technology, and life. Things I find interesting.

I love it when people comment on my blog. I am sure to read all of them and respond to most. So, readers, don’t hold out on me - leave your comments, good or bad.

Now I’m off to decide what to post about first.
